Woodstock’s current skatepark provides very limited terrain despite having a large paved recreation area available. Local skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter riders and other action-sports users deserve a safe, engaging facility that accommodates beginners through experienced riders.

We are asking Woodstock Town Council to consider funding and planning a modern skatepark expansion or replacement, designed with input from the people who actually use the facility.

A properly designed skatepark would give local youth and adults a free outdoor recreational space, encourage physical activity, provide a safer alternative to skating streets and parking lots, and create a facility that can serve the community for decades.

We ask Town Council to begin evaluating options for an upgraded skatepark and to involve local riders in the planning and design process.
