The northern section of Teys Road, Holmview (between Pepper Tree Drive & Logan River Road) is plagued with hazards.

These hazards include, but are not limited too:

1. Potholes throughout the road surface caused by severe weather, flooding, poor bitumen quality and council’s disregard to maintenance of the road
2. Narrow roads which become more dangerous due to the quality of the road surface 
3. Absence of bike lanes and suitable surfacing for people who commute using alternative transport
4. Absence of proper lighting for all commuters which makes all previous hazards even more dangerous

With many new and surrounding estates still being constructed and the population of the area rising it is only a matter of time before there is a serious accident and/or fatality on this section of road.

Many have sent emails and spoken to members of council about this issue but yet nothing is being done. Not even general maintenance let alone a road upgrade.

We must stand up as a community and push to have this road upgraded to a standard that is safe for all commuters to continue using.
