Currently the Mount Barker skatepark is not a safe and well used space for the growing population. The skatepark used to be a thriving community with skate lessons and events being held there regularly. Over the last 10 years the usage has dropped off and it would benefit the growing community to see it refurbished.

With your help there could be lights and cameras fitted to improve safety and make it rideable at night. Fixing the cracks in the concrete will make the skate park safer for all users, including young kids. Adding toilet facilities and a bbq would increase the attraction of the park and enable more youth events to take place.

Thanks for all the support! I have been in contact with council and skate Australia and we are preparing for a deputation with the council on November 3rd. I would like to thank everyone for signing up to help this skatepark.
