The Issue

Play is vital for our kids growth, and we want a modern, inclusive playground at Magnolia Close, Beck Row! The Linden Walk-Magnolia Close Community is proposing an upgrade to create a space where children of all abilities and even our dogs can thrive together. We need your support to make this happen!

What We’re Asking For: We’re petitioning West Suffolk Council to fund and approve our plan to transform the playground at Linden Walk-Magnolia Close. Our vision includes:

4-6 swings, including adaptive ones for kids with disabilities.
Benches and accessible equipment (e.g., ramps, merry-go-round) for everyone.
Sensory and gross motor features (e.g., balance beams) to spark joy and development.
Rubberized surfacing and native trees for a safe, green space.
A combined play area with a fenced dog park for the whole community.
This fits West Suffolk’s £3m parks budget and the Mildenhall Neighbourhood Plan, with funding from Section 106 contributions and grants.

Why It Matters: A better playground will boost our kids’ health, bring families together, and strengthen our Beck Row community. Right now, the space is underused, the small side area doesn’t suit little ones who want to play with big kids, and one parent pointed out mole holes as a tripping hazard let’s make it safe and fun for all! Let’s create a shared space of fun and connection!

Your Voice Counts: Tell us how you use this playground and what equipment you’d love to see! Share your ideas in the comments we’ll use them to refine our plan. Sign now to urge West Suffolk Council to act, and share this with friends and neighbors. Together, we can turn this vision into reality by our target submission date of October 1, 2025!

Thank you for standing with us to build a playground for all!
