Update PAYDAY 2 on Consoles – Bring the Missing PC Content to PlayStation & Xbox
The Issue
For years, PAYDAY 2 has remained one of the greatest co-op games ever created. Even after eight years without major updates, thousands of console players continue to enjoy the game every day.
While the console versions stopped receiving updates in 2018, the PC version continued to evolve with around 40 additional DLCs, countless improvements, bug fixes, quality-of-life updates, new weapons, characters, heists, and gameplay features that console players never had the chance to experience.
Today, there is a new opportunity.
Sidetrack Games has already demonstrated incredible passion and technical expertise while working on PAYDAY 2. Despite earning little to no direct revenue from the project, the team has delivered impressive improvements to the PC version, including reducing the game's installation size from around 80 GB to approximately 30 GB, all while continuing to support the Diesel Engine.
That level of dedication has earned the respect of the PAYDAY community.
This petition is not a demand.
It is a message from console players who still love PAYDAY 2 and believe there is both a passionate community and a genuine business opportunity.
Many of us would gladly purchase the missing DLCs if they became available on PlayStation and Xbox. These are not requests for free content—they are products we have wanted to buy for years but simply never had the opportunity to access.
From a business perspective, the opportunity is clear:
Millions of PAYDAY 2 copies have been sold on PlayStation and Xbox.
Around 40 DLCs remain exclusive to the PC version.
