Up Dates - Your Dog Shouldn’t Need a Car to Be Part of Your Life
The issue
We are calling on the NSW Government to introduce one clearly designated pet-friendly carriage on every train as part of a two-year trial.
This is a practical and balanced solution. It would give responsible dog owners greater freedom while respecting passengers who may have allergies, fears or simply prefer not to travel near animals.
Cities around the world already make pet-friendly public transport work. Sydney can too.
This Change.org campaign is now helping us build support for the next major step: a formal NSW Parliamentary e-petition backed by Alex Greenwich MP. When the parliamentary petition is officially launched, we will let everyone know how to sign it and help us build the momentum needed to bring about real change.
🐾 Exciting Campaign Update: Our Parliamentary E-Petition Has Been Submitted!
We are delighted to let you know that our NSW Parliamentary e-petition has now been formally submitted after receiving the 10 supporting signatures required to begin the process.
The e-petition is currently awaiting approval. Once approved, it will be sent to Alex Greenwich MP for his endorsement. After Alex has endorsed it, the parliamentary e-petition will officially open, allowing everyone who lives in NSW to sign and support the campaign.
As soon as it opens, I will update this page and share the direct link to the parliamentary e-petition so that you can add your signature.
In the meantime, please keep spreading the word about our campaign—and please leave a comment explaining why allowing pets on public transport matters to you. Your stories and comments are incredibly important, as they are being shared with the people making the decisions and demonstrate the real impact the current restrictions have on people and their pets.
