This petition is directed towards UNLV to give students the option to have pass/fail grades on their transcript for the Fall semester. As students, most of us are unable to learn properly through online education, but we have no choice in the matter due to COVID-19 making almost all of our class options virtual. Additionally, not everyone has access to all the materials to succeed in online classes. We have enough mental stress with a global pandemic occurring and we do not need the added stress of online classes to weigh us down. UNLV needs to understand that this pandemic forcing us to learn with online education will cause a negative affect on our grades and well being. Having a pass/fail grading system will take a lot of stress off of most students shoulders.
