For our community here in Sutter, California, that place could be Brittan School—if it were accessible during evenings.

Currently, Brittan School is locked after hours, which limits our ability to utilize the outdoor facilities that we, as community members, value so much. As a parent and a local resident, I see firsthand how the lack of accessible, safe places for evening activities has affected our community. Our children deserve a venue where they can build friendships, learn teamwork on the basketball court, and simply have fun in a secure environment.

We aren't asking for something new or costly. The facilities are already in place. What we need is permission to unlock the gates during evenings so that families can enjoy these amenities post-school hours. Opening the school grounds will not only benefit the youth but will also serve as a meeting point for families, contributing positively to community cohesion and wellness.
