Are you tired of struggling with Knewton Homework? Then Help Do Away with Knewton Alta!
The Issue
Most students that attend The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley have been facing challenges when taking calculus courses 1-3. When taking calculus, students may have encountered a program called Knewton Alta that assigns them homework. When students are working on the Knewton Alta assignments they encounter a never ending pile of homework for example, if you miss a couple of questions the program automatically gives students 30+ more questions if you miss two questions. This is not helping students gain the education they deserve and many students feel like Knewton is a program that is setting them up for failure rather than success. Students have been struggling with this program for many years and it is time that us as students speak out! We all need to come together to have our voices heard!
Are you tired of all the never ending homework Knewton Alta provides? Do you feel like another program would be better than this? Then let's make it known to our leaders at UTRGV. Starting with Dr. Timothy Huber (Dean of Math and statistical Sciences) if he and Dr. Guy Bailey (President of the University) could see that we are not happy with Knewton Alta then they could make that change.
I know what it's like to have endless homework especially that is given through Knewton Alta homework. I feel like I would much rather have Pearson or Webwork or any other program that does not penalize you every time you get a question wrong as if we are being punished for not understanding the curriculum. Knewton is not specific on the instructions and or the problems it give as well has how it skips steps. Help stop the Knewton Alta program. If you agree with this statement please sign this petition! We are UTRGV STRONG!
