Edit the UTSA Honor Code to Make Simply Being in a Group Chat Not Punishable by Failure

The Issue

If you are in a GroupMe for a UTSA class, you are in danger of failing the class as soon as one member shares an image of their notes. This is because being in a group chat where others are cheating is currently regarded as cheating, even if you did not participate at all. Take what happened at UT on September 23. 70+ students are part of an ongoing investigation and may be failed from a class because of possible cheating in a group chat by a few individuals. This tweet explains everything:

All of this happened because one person shared their notes in the group chat. I'm not saying sharing notes shouldn't be classified as cheating, but not everyone in the group chat should be held responsible for one person's actions. Sign this if you believe in innocence until proven guilty, the true American way!
