Hello there, 

My name is Marah Jones (aka MJ). I am an upcoming Junior at the University of Tampa living in the Barrymore Hotel. As most of you know, the housing situation for this upcoming year has been very hectic. Some people have accepted their unappealing housing assignment, moved off campus or completely withdrawn their application to the school. 

The housing situation will also affect the meal plan that all students are required to purchase. Living in the Barrymore Hotel, which is technically an off campus dormitory, students are expected to purchase a meal-plan and find a way to campus any time they want a meal. There is a restaurant associated with the hotel however I have been informed that it does not accept the meal plan as a form of payment. This hotel will be FULL of UT students, but we cannot use our IDs to pay. 

It may not seem like an issue to most but for those living in the hotel it is. Please sign even if you are not living in the hotel so that we can get this restaurant to be meal-plan sanctioned and/or release from the meal-plan agreement while residing in the hotel.

P.S. In the campus map attached, the hotel is a mile away from campus and is therefore unable to be included in the larger picture. It requires its own box which is ridiculous and says enough about the situation.
