After 5 years of continuous full time study, of which we have individually and collectively put in thousands of hours of work, including and outside of the 90% attendance we have fulfilled to earn our degree, the 2019 cohort of University of Sydney education cohort demands a graduation ceremony to celebrate their substantial accomplishment after the limitations and threat of COVID-19 have passed.

Although we understand the graduation ceremony can not go ahead at this time for the safety of all involved, we believe that the lack of guarantee that this will go ahead at some point in the future is completely unacceptable, especially considering the concessions we have made during our degree in regards to management and administration, as well as the strict parameters we have worked within to gain our conferral and accreditation. These include the failure of the university to provide letters of completion within an appropriate time frame.

We want the opportunity to share the joy of graduating with our friends, family, and peers, that all other graduates of the University of Sydney have had the chance to enjoy before us.
