Sussex University claims to be one of the most sustainable campuses in the UK, but how can this be the case with landfill bins overflowing and a scarcity of sustainable facilities (such as organic waste bins and water fountains) rendering it difficult for students to make sustainable choices?

We are therefore petitioning our vice chancellor to implement external and internal organic waste bins in order to reduce landfill, and encourage the use of biodegradable materials, and to implement more internal and external water fountains (with clear signage) to encourage the use of reusable water bottles.
