Not all students have access to consistent internet in order to take online classes. This is a known issue of access across the country. The widespread impact of COVID-19 in Jacksonville particularly prevents us from learning safely in-person this fall.

What we ask is that the University of North Florida do the correct thing to protect its students by canceling the Fall 2020 semester. Students will not be penalized for this missed semester, and COVID-19 will not be permitted to spread among students this fall, allowing and ensuring a safe return for Spring 2021.
