For Spring 2020, because of the turmoil caused by the pandemic, UNCW offered students the option to choose Pass/Fail for their final course grades instead of letter grades that would affect their GPA. 

We are still in a pandemic, but UNCW has not offered Pass/Fail again. Circumstances have not changed—they have worsened. Students are under even more incredible strain, yet they are being held to a higher standard now than they were when the pandemic began. UNCW needs to give students the option of Pass/Fail again.
