Move the Nebraska Football Student Section Back Behind the Home Sideline.

Move the Nebraska Football Student Section Back Behind the Home Sideline.
The Issue
The student section for the University of Nebraska's football games used to be in the seats directly behind the home sideline where it was convenient for both the players and the students of the university to unite as one in an environment that thrives upon noise and momentum that benefits the team. This advantage was stripped from the football program years ago when the student section was moved by university administration to the southeast corner of Memorial Stadium, isolated from the action.
The student section in Memorial Stadium, organized by the Iron N (a student-led school spirit organization), is commonly known to be the rowdiest and most cheerful part of the crowd on game days and was moved further away in order for the university to profit more from general ticket-purchasing fans in the seats with a better vantage point.
This movement was/is unfair to both the tuition-paying students coming out to support their university's team as well as the student-athletes on the sideline that benefit from an extra home-field advantage with the louder cheers from the younger portion of the crowd directly behind them. Without the current students, there would be no future alumni to purchase season tickets. The student body should be the most important fans for the university to please on game days, as they should be able to have the best seats in their own house on their own campus that they are paying to attend.
A simple solution would be to move the student section back to where it once was behind the home sideline and perhaps eliminate a couple rows of seating behind it so that the general ticket-purchasing fans will still be able to see the action on the field over the constantly-standing students.
Please consider signing this petition and spreading the word among Husker Nation and to the powers that could influence this situation so that we can see a better game day experience for the players and the students.
