Grace-Graduate final year UG students owing to Covid-19

Owing to the pandemic of Covid-19 and a long lockdown of institutes, much of the syllabus has not been covered. Most of the UG students have plans lined up ahead, such as Master's overseas or domestic/international internships. Covid-19 threatens such career-changing choices if exams are postponed to a later date.

In the best interest of the students, and taking inspiration from the pass by catastrophe general worldwide rule, we the students of one of the highly regarded institutions of our country, would request you to consider pardoning the exams for all final semester undergrads. They could be graded upon the scores of their previous semesters or a better strategy could be thought of by the intellectuals at the top-level.

Even if the exams are to be postponed, a minimum of 1.5months would be needed to end all the IATs, Submissions, Final year project, Practicals, Viva-voce and so on. This is a very important crisis that needs to be tackled respecting all the rules and dignity of the institution.

It is a very genuine petition because I personally believe that our batch is facing the brunt of this unfair pandemic. The intention is solely to get our results on expected dates in order to avoid losing money, effort and potential life changing decisions for future plans.

Alternate solution : Since Mumbai University has a program such as IDOL, exams could be conducted online without undue postponing owing to the aforementioned reasons. Also, to tackle the incomplete syllabus issue, the syllabus can be restricted to 40% or to the topics assessed in the IAT-1.
