Hello all. Please sign this form to help ensure that we are provided the proper White Coat Ceremony that we deserve.  This form was created for Class of 2024 students at University of Michigan School of Dentistry, but feel free to have family members and friends sign this petition as well. This event means a lot to us students as we have worked incredibly hard our entire life to get where we are at today, and it is a way to celebrate our accomplishments, unite all of our classmates, and introduce us officially into the profession by saying an oath.

For family and friends, essentially what is happening is UMich Dental does not think it is necessary to provide us with an in-person White Coat Ceremony in the future. Out of the 62 Dental Schools in the US, we were able to get feedback from 37 schools on how they are handling this situation. Out of 37 schools, UMich SoD is the only school not postponing the ceremony in hopes to have it in-person. We then reached out to UMich Med and UMich College of Pharmacy to see what their plan is, and they are postponing the ceremony indefinitely with goals of having it in person. 

Hopefully with enough signatures, they will realize how important this event is to us students as well as our family and friends.
