The University of Michigan has continuously and gratuitously punished its students, socially, academically, and financially, in an attempt to excuse itself of responsibility for its embarrassing COVID-19 response. The University has chosen profit over our safety and economic security. No student should be paying nearly $70k to an institution worth over $13B for services that institution is not providing in full. As long as classes are online and students are deprived of a full learning experience by the pandemic, Dr. Schlissel and the Board of Regents are simply using us as tools to line their pockets. If Dr. Schlissel truly cares about fostering a safe, comfortable learning environment for all students, he will stop profiteering off our uncertainty at once. We demand our tuition be reduced.
