Every senior has paid thousands of dollars to attend Umass Boston. We pay to graduate. But thats not enough...In order to graduate we must pay a $200 graduation fee. This fee includes "costs related to diplomas, academic regalia, publications, convocation and commencement ceremony expenses". However, the class of 2020's ceremony has been postponed until social distancing is over. When will that be???? There is no way we can know. So instead, students want to take their finals, put on their cap and gown and celebrate with their families! Who doesn't want to take some graduation pictures and celebrate their success!? 

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:

Umass Boston refuses to send their seniors cap and gowns in the mail. Instead they will "send them" when they have a ceremony date...But who knows how long that will be? Students will be moving on with their lives and not everyone will be around for a future ceremony. Students want to celebrate now, not months or years later. Umass Boston should be sending every senior cap and gowns in the mail NOW. This is such the bare minimum since we already paid $200!
