Many South African students are from disadvantaged backgrounds and perceive education as the key form of liberation from poverty and an enabler of financial independence.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, students did not manage to work (in either their part time jobs or in their institutions, to partially pay for their fees). COVID-19 further limited the chances of many students to secure funding as many bursaries and companies are affected by the pandemic. This pandemic also left many students' parents unemployed. 

Furthermore, students continued to pay for accommodation they did not utilize and tuition fees without attending any contact classes.

Covid-19 left many South Africans with financial frustrations which affected majority of sponsors, parents and students nationally. Therefore, this petition aims to seek for financial clearance and registration for all. A luta Continua ✊�
