Earlier this week on Instagram live an incoming freshman (class of 2024) at the University of Kentucky named Darcy Kendall Johnson made many hurtful and ignorant comments pertaining to the Breona Taylor situation. Her actions And words have been posted on numerous social media platforms. These videos Of her instagram lives have exposed her as a racist and an insensitive human being. She even posted a prewritten apology that was very insincere and showed her lack of remorse to the situation. Just attempting to repair her image after she offended many people. 

With this petition we are asking for the University of Kentucky to stand behind their black students and rescind Darcy Kendall Johnson’s admission offer. The University of Kentucky recently sent an email talking about their attempt for a better more inclusive community in their stand against racism and if Ms. Johnson is allowed to come to campus as a student in the fall it is sending a clear message that their words do not meet their actions. We need to come together as a community for our fight against racism, and promote a more inclusive campus at the University of Kentucky.
