It is clear that many students are unhappy with the online learning because of the following reasons:

1. Not being financially stable to buy data bundles. 

2. Network problems at home. 

3. Not having online devices like laptops/computers, cell phones/tablets.

We understand that the situation is beyond the University's control, and we also understand that the University has made provisions for some websites to be accessible with no data costs. But the Blackboard, which is the main online learning management system, is not freely accessible. Some assignments also need to be researched from outside the UJ networks.

Therefore, we propose that the University of Johannesburg provide its students 30GB of DATA BUNDLES, for them to be able to be able to learn online, without being charged extra fees. This will not solve all the problems that the students are facing with this online learning, but it will eliminate some.
