UCF has cancelled all of our summer classes for the semester and reasonably so, amongst the COVID-19 pandemic. The University of Central Florida tries to promote that they care about us Knights, but in reality they don't. There are multiple services that are not being used right now that we are getting charged for on top of the outrageous costs of tuition and books. The gym is listed as "UGRD Athletic Fee", which is $14.32 and the gym is closed. The services for LYNX bus and on campus buses is listed as "UGRD Activity and Service Fee" which is $11.67 and the buses are not being put to use on campus since it is closed. The service for UCF's clinics and health services that have been shut down on campus are listed as "UGRD  Health Fee" which is $10.84. There is a fee for online classes which is the most outrageous to me, because we have no choice but to be online for classes currently, it is listed as "UGRD Technology Fee" and it is $5.16. The parking passes that have we issued for this summer semester if you chose to get a year pass is $100.68. We cannot even use this parking permit and we are still being charged for this portion of the summer. These fees are multiplied by each credit that we take (ex:6 credits for UGRD Activity and Service Fee $14.32X6 credits=$85.92 PER SEMESTER!) There are multiple other ridiculous fees that we are being overcharged for. Please sign this petition to get financial justice for us Knights! Charge on!
