While Summer and Winter breaks last for about 3 months and 3 weeks, respectively, Spring break is cut short with only 1 week of vacation time for students. One week is not nearly enough time for students and faculty members to relax and prepare for the upcoming Spring quarter. I believe that Spring breaks need to be longer. They do not need to be as long as Summer breaks, but they need to be long enough for students to receive the appropriate amount of rest, and also provide them enough time to prepare for the upcoming quarter.

With only one week of vacation, there is only so much students can do. For some students, it is even difficult to spend time with their families who live in another country. For others, it can be difficult to readjust back into college life with only having very few days to do so. Thus, having only one week of vacation is not long enough; it is merely a tease.
