Stop the glorification of slave traders and 'racists' at public institutions.

Stop the glorification of slave traders and 'racists' at public institutions.
The Issue
Across the UK and Bristol (where I'm from), there are statues and monuments, and dedicated buildings made for people who were slave traders. As a member of the BAME community and a strong supporter of the BLM movement, I find it disgusting that people who created empires from the slave trade are glorified and actually have buildings dedicated to their names.
At the University of Bristol, there is a memorial building for Henry Overton Wills, a man who had most of his tobacco business workforce from slaves. We want to change this, and rename 'Wills Memorial'.
All throughout Bristol, there are statues and buildings for Edward Colston, a prominent slave trader. We want to have these schools renamed, the statues taken down, and for him to be known as someone who contributed to the animalistic treatment of black people during the slave trade.
Winston Churchill is another man who is glorified throughout the University of Bristol. This is one of the things Churchill did:
Kenya: In 1951, Churchill ordered the removal of locals from the fertile highlands as they were only for “white colonial settlers”. He branded the locals as “bl*ckamoors”, and placed 150,000 men, women and children in concentration camps. Rape and torture were regularly practiced.
A full detail of Churchills crimes and racism can be read here:
