I’m creating this petition on behalf of the loyal fan base of the original Twister movie. Remaking this classic American film would be a slap in the face to fans across the world. Moreover, an attempted remake would only serve to undermine the amazing performances by the entire cast. On top of that, it would be an insult to the memories of Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Paxton, who brought to life two of the most iconic characters in film history, Dusty and Billy. To this end I am calling on Universal to abandon a remake of this iconic film which has touched movie goers around the world.
    Some movies should be left in their time and place as is, I remember as a kid putting twister on when storms came. To this day I do the same, I love going back to the 90’s and reciting every line as it came.  Remaking this movie would be like Jonas stealing Bill’s idea of Dorthy and claiming it as an “Unrealized idea”. Like Jonas, Universal Pictures is “in it for the money not the science”.
 I end this brief description with a final word to the writers and Universal Pictures as Dusty would say “MOVE ON”. There’s plenty of other movies you screwed up the first time and can reboot. Please leave this masterpiece alone for the good of the fan base and the integrity of a classic.
