Refurbish Revenge of the Mummy & E.T. Adventure back to Amazing Quality

Refurbish Revenge of the Mummy & E.T. Adventure back to Amazing Quality
The Issue
Two of the most beloved attractions at the original theme park of the Universal Orlando Resort, Revenge of the Mummy and E.T. Adventure could use some extra love and care. Theme parks typically take rides down for refurbishment for more than a month at a time when doing anything major (Disney especially, after just refurbishing the Dinosaur attraction for 6 months and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for multiple months) to keep them as close to their original, breathtaking state as possible. Universal Orlando has instead chosen to focus mostly on building new amazing attractions, which is great, and it doesn't seem like it will stop anytime soon (which is still great). I do think it's important that they do pay attention to some of their existing attractions that are guest favorites, however. Here's some of the issues I've notices with each attraction, as highlighted below.
Revenge of the Mummy
- Timing issues with special effects (especially the treasure room) along with being able to hear the first scene while in the treasure room
- Squeaking brakes and LIMs in some of the launch sections
- Distorted projections in the scarab room and the turntable before the inclined launch
- False-ending section never finishes before the vehicle abruptly launches into the drop, leaving first-time guests confused as to what the "mummy" was talking about
E.T. Adventure
- Pre-show video is distorted and in bad quality even though its shown on new HDTVs
- E.T.'s teacher animatronic twitches and doesn't look life-like, along with sometimes not even making any sound at all (speaker issues)
- Ride vehicles squeak and screech, along with the lab bars
- Animatronics look dated and old, along with some of the timing and special effects being off
- The animatronics on the green planet almost look sick, with one not even moving its mouth
- The water pool looked brown and like its not cleaned or kept in a nice-looking condition. You could even see the wires more clearly because of it
- The E.T. animatronic itself sometimes doesn't even move, let alone speak hardly anyone's name anymore (the selling point and main focus of the attraction)
