In the wake of the Newtown massacre of 20 little children and 6 adults, we can not sit back and allow illogical  politics to rule over common sense legislation  for public safety.

We need universal background checks ,  a federal ban on military style assault weapons and high capacity magazine clips .No matter how strong our NJ gun control laws are, if someone can go to another state and buy these weapons with no questions asked , and no background checks , then this jeopardizes the safety of New Jersey where these weapons are banned.

This MUST be done on a federal level and our NJ Congressmen need to put away their partisan politics and commit to serving  our families and children.Our voices need to be heard over the nonsense of the NRA. This is not a partisan issue --It is a human issue and a public safety issue. Our NJ  Congressmen are ultimately  responsible for our public safety  and they must be held accountable .
