Tell DOJ No Firing Squads or Electric Chairs for Death Row Inmates

The Issue

Firing squads, poison gas, electrocution could be allowed for US executions under the Justice Department’s new rule.

Criminals facing the death penalty should at least have a more humane procedure. Firing squads, electrocution, and poison gas methods are inhumane, barbaric, archaic, as well as cruel and unusual and thus, I believe it to be a violation of the 8th amendment.

Research shows that executions are not an effective deterrent for crimes as well as attempts at fearmongering.

This rule goes into effect on Dec. 24 Christmas Eve which makes this all the more cruel. If we can get the DOJ to value humanity over fear and violence by Dec. 24, we can stop this from happening. Even if we do not meet our goal by Dec. 24th, we will not stop fighting.
