We need to protect democracy and stop any nominations to fill the Supreme Court Justice vacancy. Just as Mitch McConnell and other Republicans lead the fight a year and a half before the 2016 election to postpone then President Obamas Supreme Court Justice nomination, we must fight to have the same for the current administration. Not even hours after supreme court justice Ruth Badet Ginsburgs sad and unfortunate passing President Trump, Senator Mitch McConnell and Republicans are trying to put fourth their nomination when we are only a 45 days from the 2020 election. We must not let any nominations go through until after the 2020 election. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dictated this statement to her granddaughter Clara Spera: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed." We must honor Justice Ginsburgs final wish and postpone any nominations. In 2016 Lindsey Graham and many other Republicans all kept saying that we have to wait until after the election, yet now in 2020 are ready to do the same within 2 months from one of the most important elections in our lifetime. Please get out and be heard. Call your senators! Take to the streets if they do not listen! And most importantly get out and VOTE! America depends on it.
