Reform is needed in the family justice systems of America. The Department of Children and Family Services is the government agency that typically facilities the needs of children, who are taken into custody due to alleged cases of neglect or abuse inside the home. But what happens when police officers, court personnel, case workers, or fostering parents decide to allow their personal feelings to determine the fate of these families?

Often times the statues that are designed to protect the human rights of these family members, are overridden by personal biases. This is dangerous for at-risk families, and could potentially lead to permanent family separation. Our goal is to provide more in-depth investigations before ever removing a child from the biological parent(s). On condition that in-home and family counseling are prioritized before making the devastating decision to remove a child from his/her home.
