One thing we realize as we get older is that time flies. There is not nearly enough time in the day to do things for yourself, let alone your family. I am a father of two and have a beautiful fiancé who I love to spend time with but as the years go by I think to myself about how much more I could have done to make my family and myself a little happier, if I only had the time. No, this is not me being lazy and wanting to take the easy route, this is me wanting to be able to take my kids to extra-curricular activities, sports, and fun adventures. I'd like the time to follow my dreams, take a class or two, have a hobby, and most importantly have the family time that we all need. I would love to be able to cook and do most/all of that in one day and not be so exhausted or have to think "oh no! its already 8pm and we haven't made dinner, now we have to settle for Top Ramen, fast food or a frozen dinner." I know it would make the world happier and maybe even help people find something that they enjoy doing and not revolve everything around work. When having a conversation and someone asks, "what have you been up to?" I want to be able to say more than "just been working".

Yes, I know work is what provides the financial resources to be able to take a class and fund our hobbies, so that's why we would need a pay increase to average out to those famous 40 hour work weeks we're so used to. This could also allow more opportunities for fully capable people to be employed and more opportunity for people to get the benefits they deserve.

What I am asking:

- 30 hour work weeks (60 hours every two weeks as fulltime)

- A raise depending on each individuals pay equivalent to 40/hours a week.

Think about it, what could you be doing with 40 extra hours of free time each month?

Thank you!!
