Stop Ocean Dumping

Stop Ocean Dumping
The Issue
The effects of ocean dumping has already begun to sink in, the ocean may even be uninhabitable in 80-90 years.
Some experts believe that the Earth is in a state unable to be saved by science or the actions of humans. The oceans have always been a great and profitable resource of the Earth. The Earth might lose its ocean by 2100 if ocean dumping and pollution keep at normal rates. The ocean is a huge thing to lose, being that it is the largest body of water we have. The ocean regulates temperatures which explains as the ocean is declining in health, the temperature is rising.
The effects of dumping trash into the ocean include the depletion of oxygen in the ocean. It also includes toxins hurting and poisoning marine wildlife. Plastics can hurt lungs and chokes caught animals which in turn hurts the ocean. Plastics also absorb many toxic chemicals before entering into the ocean, these plastics can be eaten by marine life and then by humans which can affect the health of humans and the ocean. Ocean dumping includes oil spills which affects the coral reefs.
Scientists today say that the ocean is almost to the point of collapse where not much we do could help clean or save the ocean and its wildlife. Not only is the ocean almost unable to be saved but studies show that the amount of waste we create is way more than an average human should. On average the American will produce 4.4 pounds of trash every day. While not all trash is dumped in the ocean the process of creating this trash only adds to the damage to our Earth. The pollution of creating trash is turning into a cycle, doing more damage to the ocean by certain items absorbing the dangerous chemicals they made by producing the absorbent materials.
In conclusion, the ocean is almost too far gone to be saved and is going to be unlivable by marine wildlife in 80 years. An easy way to increase our oceans life is by banning ocean dumping.
