Because there are too many families that fall through the income gaps. Also this past week a Kitchen manager was fired for giving a meal to a hungry first grader, who didn't have lunch money. I believe if you give prisoners three meals a day, at least provide our most valuable assets one free meal a day. I for one would rather have my tax dollars go for a good cause.
