Let Alex White Plume Grow Hemp!

Let Alex White Plume Grow Hemp!

The Issue

We, the Undersigned, openly petition the Government of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation, the Government of the United States of America as well as the State Government for South Dakota to let Mr. Alex White Plume grow hemp on his Pine Ridge Indian Reservation Farm in Pine Ridge, S.D. once again.

From 1968 until 2000 under the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1851 Mr. White Plume was the only man to plant, grow, harvest and sell Industrial hemp, aka "Wahupta Ska Pejuta"--sweet white root medicine here in the United States of America, Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation, when in 2000 he was raided by the Drug Enforcement Administration, St. Louis Division his crop destroyed and prevented from doing such any longer by the Government of the United States of America.

The Fort Laramie Treaty of 1851 should be ratified by the Congress of the United States of America, and recognized by the Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation as a binding and lasting agreement between that tribal nation and the Government of the United States of America because under that treaty Alex White Plume grew, sold and traded the best natural resource on the planet without, up until now, marque or reprisal from this or any other government of note.

Alex White Plume should be given every opportunity to provide for his family and friends, as well as his neighbors this invaluable crop at any time.

Set hemp and Alex White Plume free! Remove the shackles and chains of prohibition from off his hands and feet and give him the special permission that he seeks to grow Industrial hemp once again!

Thank you, and we await your response in action...
