Vote integrity and certification
Vote integrity and certification
With many questions arising about vote integrity in the United States, and verification of such a vote nearly impossible to certify as 100% accurate under the current system, I propose these ideas for adoption in voting.
1. I believe each voter should verify their identity via ID card. These cards could be Drivers ID, a passport or a photo ID provided by their state board of elections.
2. I believe each voter should be required to discreetly verify their Social Security number before receiving a ballot.
3. I believe each voter should verify their date of birth.
It seems to me, when one must provide such documents/information for banking, transfer of assets, pharmacy pickup, passports, and other such things, that need a verification- one should need such verification for the most sacred of American rights, namely that of voting.
Every American should desire a free and equitable election process, which is touted as a cornerstone of our Republic. Until we create a verification process, many Americans will continue to express grave doubts about the validity of their vote. As an American voter I call for this 3 fold verification process, not as a partisan nor as a revolutionary, but as one who believes a democratic election, is not democratic at all if such an election does not vet for legal voters only.
1 legal vote, for 1 legal voter, in 1 legal election, for 1 legal office.
