Re-Instate the Glass-Stegall Act

The Issue

After our "last depression" the Glass-Steagall Act was enacted in 1933 after the US Banking failures of 1929, the fuse to the Great Depression. It created the FDIC, federally insured deposits and PREVENTED BANKS FROM COMINGLING MONEY FOR DEMAND DEPOSITS and MONEY FOR INVESTMENT BANKING. FOR 70 years everything was OK but two things stand out, How could ANY CONGRESSPERSON SEE ANY POSITIVE RESULT IN REPEAL OF THIS ACT and after the spineless US Congress repealled it in 1999 it only took 7 years to destroy our economy, just as the failure to have such a law was the catalyst of our last great depression.
