End the Pornography Industry

The purpose of this petition is to end the degrading and demoralizing industry of pornography.
The pornography industry causes emotional harm to a countless number of people. The average age for a person's first exposure to porn is 11 years old. 90 percent of 8-16 year olds have viewed porn. So how is this damaging?
It damages self esteem by giving people skewed views of sex and glorifies the abuse of women and children. Sexual violence is prevalent across the world and needs to stop, and pornography is one of the biggest influences on sexual violence. In fact, one in four girls and one in six boys are sexually abused before they reach age 18.
Porn is very harmful to loving relationships, because there is no longer a value for monogamy. People who watch porn have an unrealistic view of what sex was meant to be. Sex was meant to be shared between two people, not three, and not in large orgies. How can a woman ever feel like she is worthy of love or intimacy if her boyfriend or husband feels the need for attention from another partner?
Furthermore, how can a woman be happy if her husband or boyfriend feels the need to tie her down and degrade her in order to get pleasure? Porn desensitizes its viewers. They can no longer be satisfied with just sex; it has to be degrading, abusive, and self esteem-lowering in order to make them happy. But in the end, this sex is not fulfilling for men or women. Those who watch porn constantly hunger for more action, leading to cheating, which just leads to more problems and less satisfaction.
Porn should not be legal to create or view at all, and moreover, it should not be so easy for children to view. If you want to put an end to the pain the pornography industry causes those who want happy relationships, sign this petition.
