In the last 150 years Turkey has violated its Christian neighbors and the Christian minorities living within its borders. More than a hundred years ago it's committed genocide on its ethnic Christians during World War One. Only recently has the US government recognized that. However, it still does crimes such as violating Greek airspace, a NATO ally, and illegally occupying half of the island-country of Cyprus. It has become a subject of a NATO investigation for violating a French vessel in the Mediterranean but still no action is taken against it allowing it to do as it pleases, violating international law, and getting away with it. On July 10, 2020, it authorized the conversion of the Hagia Sophia, a Byzantine era cathedral, turned Ottoman mosque, and now UNESCO protected museum back into a mosque. This is a clear violation of international law and Turkey must be stopped.
