Stop the Cuban government commiting systemic rights abuses against the Cuban people! #SOS

The Issue

On Sunday, July 11, the Cuban people took to the streets to protest. Only a person who has lived in Cuba can imagine how desperate the people are to overcome fear and take to the streets. Few know what it is like to grow up with fear. My mother always told me: "Speak low, they are going to catch you." For us, anyone is an undercover government agent. Many have disappeared for saying: "Abajo Fidel." Someone said yesterday: "We were so hungry that we ate our fear."

The protest occurred spontaneously throughout the island. Cubans also expressed support for their brothers in cities such as Miami, Arizona, New York, Mexico City, Madrid, and others.

The dictatorship is forcibly removing teenage boys from their homes, and drafted into the army. This is inhumane and wrong. Any refusals and the boys will face repercussions. Parents are fighting back with knives or anything else to protect their children.

The President of Cuba ordered "the revolutionary people" to confront the Protestants. The people who came out yesterday to "confront" the Cuban people are agents of the dictatorship with military training, who dress as civilians and provoke the protesters and start violent events. Children and people have died because of this!!!!

We ask the government to:
- turn hotels into hospitals and police cars into ambulances.
- expand the number of flights and let everyone travel to Cuba with food and medical supplies without restrictions.
- lower the shipping fees, remove restrictions, and speed the delivery process.
- do not confiscate humanitarian aid and do not sell it for dollars.
- eliminate the MLC stores. It is unfair for a Cuban, to work more than 40 hours a week, to earn the equivalent of 25 dollars a month, and to stand in lines for 6 and 7 hours to buy basic food in these MLC stores.
- President Díaz-Canel resigns. The Cuban people never chose him. Everything was a manipulation of the dictatorship.

All these measures, and others, can be implemented by the Cuban government, they do not depend on the US embargo. Cubans do not want the US embargo, but neither do we want a dictatorship.

Cubans want justice and freedom. Cubans want #PatriayVida

I ask again that if you plan to travel to Cuba in the next few days or have friends who will travel, please, only bring medicines, many medicines, and all the medical supplies you can carry. The people of Cuba need it.

Please share this petition, follow #SOSCUBA and support pages in solidarity with the Cuban people, share the videos and inform, reach out to help bring awareness!
