China claims to have banned their practice of allowing their people to keep, torture, and slaughter animals in so-called 'wet-markets' for food. It is now widely believed by scientists around the world that the Novel Corona Virus (Covid-19) came to be due to 'zoonotic transfer', from bats, to pangolins, to humans.

There are many pictures, videos, and people providing evidence of the barbaric conditions in these 'wet-markets', in which they sometimes feed these animals things like gravel and corn flour to increase their weight for sale, slaughter them in ways that take them a long time to die, and are kept in cramped environments with blood soaked floors, and screaming cries of animals all around them as they are brutally killed. These markets also include animals that are highly intelligent and emotionally developed, that most of the civilized world considers to be beloved human companions, such as dogs and cats, as well as highly infectious animals such as bats, and other wildlife.

It is the general consensus of scientists that conditions like this, with many species in cramped confines, under extreme stress, that causes the jump across species(zoonotic transfer), that led to the human pandemic of Covid-19. There are reports from all over that China is just blaming the US for 'creating this virus', and deceiving its people that this practice had nothing to do with it, and told the world that it banned this practice as an ineffectual form of appeasement. The UN, and all the nations of the world must band together to compel China(CCP) to end this practice legitimately, and all nations must use any non-violent means to ensure this, lest the next disease that infects humans kill us all, and destroy all the world's economies if it fails to eradicate us.

I am imploring the UN, and all nations, to enact a complete ban on trade and travel with China until they prove that this practice has been stopped, that its people understand the risk fully(instead of being manipulated by propaganda), and to allow the UN to inspect it with unscheduled and unguided tours of the country 2-4 times per year to make sure they haven't gone back to 'business as usual'. It is understood that Chinese markets represent a significant amount of economic gain for many companies, and that a trade/travel ban is an enormous 'ask' for such, but consider the losses from this pandemic, and what will happen again if this practice is not stopped. Companies can always go back to doing business after this horror ends, and likely be in a stronger negotiating position, and gain time to develop local markets to make them more resilient to future tragedies, and likely consumers would respect any who participate in such a heroic global initiative, and would win them brand loyalties for 'leading the charge' with regard to this issue. You can't turn a profit if your consumers are dead, dying, unhealthy, or struggling to afford their basic necessities to survive. Hopefully this is an impetus to a global discussion about such things. Hopefully Sanctions, Tariffs, and other such measure don't need to be taken by countries of the world, and China will comply with this in the face of such mentions, but if they don't then this is the only peaceful way to prevent this in the future that has any chance of working. Or, alternatively, if somehow everyone could just talk to each other like reasonable people, and take this seriously, but given the stories being propagated by CCP, it seems unlikely they'll see reason if they're promoted 'it's not me, it's you' sorts of conspiracy theories implicating Italy and the US, well, then these measures need to be taken. The world has taken unified action before with regard to environmental issues, it's time for the world to present a unified front backed by science in regard to allowing one country to endanger the world with its practices.
