The Issue
العراق يمر بواحده من اصعب ازماته في التاريخ
مئات الالاف من العراقيين يتظاهرون سلميا في جميع محافظات العراق احتجاجا على فساد و فشل و اجرام حكومتهم الحالية, الحكومة التي فشلت في توفير ابسط الخدمات لشعبها و بددت مليارات الدولارات خلال 16 عاما منصرما, لو استغلت بشكل صحيح, لكان البلد في خير و نعيم, و قبله للعالمين بخيراته و حضارته و اثاره و تنوعه. .
حكومة العراق استجابت للتظاهرات السلمية بدم بارد, متسببة بمقتل اكثر من 100 شهيدا و جرح اكثر من 6000 مواطن اعزل خلال فتره اسابيع قليلة, باستخدام الرصاص الحي, و القنابل المسيلة للدموع, و القنابل الصوتية, و بطش الميليشيات الموالية لايران.
هذه ثورة شباب لا يتجاوز اعمار معظمهم ال 30 سنة, اغلبهم من طلاب المدارس و الجامعات و الخريجين و الطبقة البسيطة من الشعب التي تبحث عن وطن كريم مستقل, يوفر ابسط مقومات الحياة.
على المجتمع الدولي مسؤولية اخلاقية اذ يقفون موقف المتفرج في وقت يذبح فيه الشعب و تنتهك كرامته بكل برود, و نذكر بالتحديد الحكومة الامريكية التي باركت حكومة العراق هذه في اكثر من مناسبة و زمان.
Iraq is going through one of the toughest times in its modern history.
Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people are protesting in the streets expressing their anger and dissatisfaction of their puppet government, widespread corruption, poor public services.
The government, unfortunately responded with a cold-blooded violence towards the peaceful protesters, killing more than 100 people and injuring 6000+ over less than 10 days of protests, mostly through its Iran backed militias.
Security forces are using tear gas, stun grenades and live ammunition against civilians.
Most of the protesters are between 16- 30 year old, and their demands are nothing but basic life requirements (safe, prosperous country, with clean water, reliable public sector, good jobs market, a just state not influenced by corrupt politics and outside powers)
We need the world to know how criminal, fascist, and incapable this government is.
The US government has an ethical role to defend the Iraqi people, as it has blessed this government of Iraq on more than once occasion.
