The robots are coming!

More and more people will lose their jobs to robots.
By 2025, robots could potentially take over many of the world's traditional jobs.
More and more people would be in poverty.
World peace would be threatened.

Many people will lose their jobs, but they will need money for shelter, food and to live!
It's time to help all people of the world with a BASIC INCOME!

The Gradual Introduction of the BASIC INCOME

There are many ideas for implementing the BASIC INCOME principle:
All people should get the same amount (as a matter of fairness, peace and justice for this global problem). The amount would be a supplement to other income earned by each person.

The initial amount could be $10 US or more per month.
In the first year all people in the world would get $10 US or more per month.
The amount would then increase gradually year by year.
The final amount could be $1000 US or more per month.

3-D printers are like robots!

3-D printing technology is making rapid progress.
3-D printers are able to print all kinds of products, for example, everyday objects, clothes, art objects, food, machines and even houses.
3-D printers will only become cheaper over time.
A simple 3-D printer costs only $300 today.
It is possible that by 2025, everyone will be using 3-D printers at home to print most of the things they need on a daily basis.

The Robot Big Bang in 2020 ... 2025 ... 2030...?

Robots will be self-learning, self-constructing, self-replicating and self-improving.
Robots will create their own resources and energy supply.
Robots will transmit their skills, knowledge and abilities to other robots.
The robots' artificial intelligence will constantly improve.
Robots will become cheaper over time and will spread rapidly around the world.
The Robot Big Bang may be just around the corner.

Will robots create jobs?

Yes, they will. But many more jobs will be destroyed.
And the more intelligent the robots get, the less humans will be needed to perform jobs.
The number of jobs for no pay will continue to rise.
But people need money to live and eat!
And they need money to realize their ideas!

The future of work

People will find other things to do, for example, creativity or human relations. But people must live and eat! We need a basic income for all people!

No fear of robots!

Robots need not necessarily look like human beings.
Robots can be invisibly integrated into devices or natural-looking objects.
You could be sitting in your home or garden, and no robots would be visible.
Moreover, no one will be forced to use robots. Cooking and needlework will be popular hobbies in the future as well.

The robot economy

How would a BASIC INCOME be financed?
At the beginning, the BASIC INCOME could be financed by restructuring existing taxes or by levying global robot taxes.

But the future robot economy will not be as profit-oriented as it currently is because all people will be able to produce most things on their own with the help of robots (and 3-D printers).
Even the robots themselves will be produced by robots.
Money will not play the same role as it does nowadays.
There will not be enough tax revenues to finance the BASIC INCOME.

The money of the future economy will mainly be an equivalent of resources: energy, material, space etc.!
That's why the future BASIC INCOME will be a measure for the resources that every person needs to live and act and use the robots.
It's very simple: The future BASIC INCOME (the resources) should be fairly distributed among all people.

But there is a danger, too: A robot economy could lead to automatic, robot-generated exaggerations and a dangerous and unfair wasting of resources.
That's why limits for the consumption of resources have to be defined.
And robots can help recycle resources and use renewable energies!

This is a long term petition.

The is a long term petition because the spectacular advancement of robot technology will become more and more visible in coming years.
