This petition had 6,116 supporters
We kashmiris are going through a worst turmoil of the decade. Flood has hit Jammu & Kashmir (India). Around 85% of the population area is under the water. Around 650000 people are stranded within their area, out of which ONLY 50000 to 60000 have been shifted to safe areas. The rescue operations are mostly carried by the local youth, Indian army, National disaster recovery force, local authorities. Given the magnitude of the disaster, all the mentioned authorities are not enough to complete the rescue operations. All communications channels (mobile lines , internet, fixed lines) have been severely affected. We are requesting United Nations authority to kindly intervene on this matter and try to engage international authorities for carrying out rescue operations.
