Zero Hunger - Let's Combat Global Hunger

Zero Hunger - Let's Combat Global Hunger
The Issue
The Introduction
Hunger is the leading cause of death in the world. Our planet has provided us with tremendous resources, but unequal access and inefficient handling leaves millions of people malnourished. If we promote sustainable agriculture with modern technologies and fair distribution systems, we can sustain the whole world’s population and make sure that nobody will ever suffer from hunger again.
The goal of Zero Hunger is to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
The Problem
There are nearly 800 million people who suffer from hunger worldwide, the vast majority in developing countries. Poverty causes many people all over the world to be unable to afford nutritious food. In general, poverty also contributes to malnourishment.
People who grow up in poverty are frequently unable to provide for their families. They may even be unable to afford basic necessities such as food and water. This is especially true in countries where social security does not exist. If people become ill or experience other adversity, they may not have enough money to buy food and may suffer from severe malnutrition.
The Action
Make sustainable food choices by supporting local farmers or markets. Raising awareness about good nutrition and combating food waste. Advocate for public investment to help small scale farmers.
