The Issue

We need to revert the rampage that Blocksi Enterprise Edition has caused on our computers. It has blocked too many innocuous websites and could be classified as malware. 30,000 children's freedom rights are being taken away. With this petition, we hope to stop the rampage and revert Blocksi back to what it was before.

On May 2nd, 2025 at around 2:06 PM, Blocksi made all educational content say "Requested website may contain inappropriate content." Luckily, there was a "continue" button, but this is outrageous. Some URLs are being blocked just for the sake of having "69" in the URL.

Other websites, such as Spotify, YouTube, and Schoology (temporarily) are being blocked by the AI extension, which has over 85 categories of blocked websites.

Blocksi doesn't look at the website, only the URL. Any website with "69" and "420" was blocked for sex and weed respectively, which was detrimental to messy websites like Google Docs or Schoology assignments.

One of the comments on this petition even says that it blocked Section 504 accommodations, which means Blocksi and the people who installed it have some legal issues on their hands.

Another Blocksi scandal is review-botting to get 5-star reviews on the Google Web Store, which has been reported on this Google Support page. Blocksi's positive reviews on this page on Glassdoor, a job-searching website look botted and uncredible, which could be proof of this. We have not been able to access the Blocksi page on the Chrome Web Store because, well... Blocksi blocked it for "Freeware and Software". If children cannot customize their experience, then that's more proof Blocksi should be reverted.

Some websites have been blocked, like EVERY SINGLE TINYURL and GPTZero, because the block category is literally "Unrated". Many schools use Tinyurl's to their advantage to make websites accessible, and GPTZero is a common AI detector that is now unusable because of this horrendous and malicious software. One click would make a world of difference, and we are trying to reach 500 signatures.

Thank you.
