Hi friends —
A while back you signed The Gilbert Baker Foundation’s petition to bring more Pride representation to the emoji keyboard because representation matters in everyday life — in the messages we send, the identities we name, and the signals of belonging we share.
That’s why we’re reaching out now. Last month, the National Park Service removed the Pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument, and on February 17, 2026, a coalition including the Gilbert Baker Foundation filed a federal lawsuit seeking to restore it and prevent future removals without proper process.
Stonewall is sacred ground in LGBTQ+ history — and the Pride flag is not “decoration.” It’s a historic symbol created to say: we exist, we belong, and we will not be erased.
The ask: join our email list (optional)
Change.org doesn’t provide petition starters with supporters’ email addresses. If you want occasional updates on the Stonewall case, actions you can take, and ways to help protect the Pride flag’s legacy, please opt in here:

No spam — just meaningful updates when there’s something important to share. And if you’d rather not join, you can still follow progress with occasional updates here and regular updates on our social media, too.
With gratitude,
Charley Beal, President
