We, the undersigned, call on UNICEF to take clear, urgent, and decisive action regarding the killing of underage schoolchildren in Iran in January 2026.

 

Credible human rights organizations and independent reports confirm that children and adolescents were killed during recent state crackdowns. Many of these victims were school students below the legal age. Silence or insufficient response in the face of such tragedies contradicts UNICEF’s mission to protect children’s rights and lives worldwide.

 

In addition, credible reports indicate that many children and adolescents are currently detained in Iranian prisons. There are serious concerns about mistreatment, abuse, and violations of their fundamental rights while in custody.

 

We urge UNICEF to:

 

Publicly acknowledge and condemn the killing of Iranian schoolchildren
Demand an independent international investigation into these deaths
Pressure Iranian authorities to ensure accountability and transparency
Investigate the conditions of detained minors in Iran
Take urgent action to protect children from harm, abuse, and exploitation

 

 

Children must never become victims of political violence, repression, or abuse. UNICEF and the international community have a moral and legal responsibility to act without delay.

ما امضاکنندگان این دادخواست از یونیسف می‌خواهیم درباره کشته شدن دانش‌آموزان زیر سن قانونی در ایران در دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ واکنش فوری، شفاف و قاطع نشان دهد.

 

بر اساس گزارش‌های معتبر حقوق بشری و منابع مستقل، کودکان و نوجوانان در جریان سرکوب‌های اخیر جان خود را از دست داده‌اند. بسیاری از قربانیان، دانش‌آموز و زیر سن قانونی بوده‌اند. سکوت یا واکنش ناکافی در برابر چنین فجایعی با مأموریت یونیسف برای حفاظت از حقوق و جان کودکان در تضاد است.

 

همچنین، گزارش‌های معتبر حاکی از آن است که شمار زیادی از کودکان و نوجوانان در حال حاضر در بازداشت و زندان‌های ایران نگهداری می‌شوند. نگرانی‌های جدی درباره بدرفتاری، آزار، و نقض حقوق اساسی این کودکان در دوران بازداشت وجود دارد.

 

ما از یونیسف درخواست می‌کنیم:

۱. کشته شدن دانش‌آموزان ایرانی را به‌طور رسمی محکوم کند

۲. خواستار تحقیقات مستقل بین‌المللی درباره این قتل‌ها شود

۳. از مقامات ایران پاسخگویی و شفافیت بخواهد

۴. وضعیت کودکان بازداشت‌شده را بررسی کند

۵. اقدامات فوری برای محافظت از کودکان در برابر خشونت، سوءرفتار و استثمار انجام دهد

 

کودکان نباید قربانی خشونت سیاسی، سرکوب یا آزار شوند. یونیسف و جامعه جهانی مسئولیت اخلاقی و حقوقی دارند که بدون تأخیر اقدام کنند.
