Unfair Banning Second life

The Issue

My account has been banned from Second Life for violating 3 rules i never violated whatsoever, and even the Term of Service violation is not violated.

  • 1. Participation by Residents in lewd or sexual acts in which one or more of the avatars appears to represent minors (or the depiction of such acts in images, video, textures, or text) is a violation of the Community Standards;
  • 2. Promoting or catering to such behavior or representations violates our Community Standards. For instance, the placement of avatars appearing to represent minors in proximity to "sex beds" or other sexualized graphics, objects, or scripts, would violate our Community Standards, as would the placement of sexualized "pose ball" or other content in areas depicting playgrounds or children's spaces;
  • 3. The graphic depiction of children in a sexual or lewd manner violates our Community Standards

In the course of communication, with support, I managed to find out that Linden Lab believes that I violated the first point.

People who know me are aware that English is not my native language and I use a browser translator. On June 12, 2023, I was chatting with my friend late in the evening when a certain person wrote to me. Since I was deep in conversation with my friend, I didn't pay much attention to this person. Since I am interested in +18 content and spend time on “A” regions, people often write to me with the offer RP+18. It seemed like the exact same situation to me, so I didn't sound the alarm. But as it turned out, this person was trying to pull me into the role-playing game Ageplay. I didn't notice it because I was actively communicating with my friend.

It is worth noting an important point! I did not position myself as a child, and more than one of my messages did not contain words that I was a minor. Which immediately refutes the words of support regarding the first point. Throughout the text, I behaved like an adult.

Also, during this dialogue, I was next to my friend at the site of our mutual acquaintance. This is a private plot and there are no things about children there a priori. Linden Lab, could check my inventory and my messages to make sure that I don't have any items, photos or videos related to children. All this proves my innocence in this situation. Also, an important argument is that during my long existence in Second life, I never broke the rules and was a diligent user, respectful to everyone around me. I didn't notice that he was trying to play the Age play game, so, as always, being polite to anyone who writes to me, I continued to reply to messages.

I agree that there are controversial situations in the dialogue. For example, where I answer two different and detailed questions with one short message. Which in general does not look very logical. I have read this dialogue on purpose, probably a hundred times already, and I have tried to thoroughly explain every controversial point to the support. Up to the time of the answer, to this person and my friend. And even if you open these two dialogues in parallel, any adequate person will see that my messages with a friend are more extensive and meaningful, unlike the second dialogue, where all the answers are brief and of the same type. Which means that my whole focus was on my friend.

After some time, I managed to find information that the person who wrote to me was a griefer. Older users may know it by the name MisterStar. He has been terrorizing Second life for more than 13 years, creating dozens of accounts per month. And a lot of users have suffered at his hands.

The support continues to insist on my blocking, in no way perceiving my, any evidence of innocence. I've been writing to them for over 10 months now. I have already created more than 6 emails to write to them. Since at some point applications just start to close automatically after creation.

And it turns out that this griefer will continue to harm everyone else, not caring about the locks, as he will create new accounts. AAnd honest players like me and many other people who have been diligent for years, invested their soul, money and all of themselves in their account They will remain blocked. Where is the justice here?

Due to banal inattention, Linden lab crosses out everything that has been created over the years, despite good behavior and help to the community. I had never encountered violators directly before, naturally, I did not immediately realize that I was facing a fraudster. Therefore, my reaction was not instantaneous, as I simply could not even think that I was now communicating with someone because of whom I might suffer.

My friends and acquaintances know that I am fond of various adult content and extreme things. But each of them knows that I would never get into Ageplay. This is immoral, disgusting, disgusting and unacceptable to me. Moreover, in many countries there is a real criminal liability for this. Everyone knows that I am a positive, non-confrontational, friendly and legitimate user. Which, me there is simply no point in ruining me account.

What is the point of breaking a rule that should be immediately punished when you already have more than 5 years of experience, a lot of acquaintances, things and money spent on account development. It's just illogical.

(Anyone who wants to know the details and details can contact me by email. He is listed in my profile. I will answer all your questions and show you all the evidence found)

It seems that people who are deprived of a sense of compassion and banal logic work in support.

I believe that Linden Lab needs to review the user blocking system as a whole. A permanent ban, for simple inattention, crossing out years of diligent use of your product, can cause nothing but negativity. Only ordinary users suffer from this, it will not stop real violators. To put a person with a couple of controversial lines in a dialogue with those who create children's avatars and walk freely in adult regions, and do very nasty things. It's just not fair and it's insulting to people who find themselves in a similar situation to me.

It would be possible to introduce a temporary ban, and in case of repeated violation, a permanent one, a system of fines or something similar, there are many options. And not to turn Second life into a concentration camp, where one suspicious movement is worth everything created.

It seems to me that it is clear that a person who has been writing dozens of appeals every month for almost a year, contacts you in all possible messengers, clearly values his account and sincerely wants to return back. He could have just accidentally stumbled or inadvertently done something wrong. Everyone deserves a second chance!

In no way do I have a negative attitude towards Second life or the Linden lab company. I am grateful for the creation of this world. But I do not agree with the policy regarding blocking.

Linden Lab, you should pay attention to your own users, we are not just numbers in statistics. We are users of your product, we spend money on your product. You should at least consider our opinion, we have our own rights, desires and values that you should not ignore.

Therefore, I am asking for help from all concerned people to help me unlock my account due to unfair blocking. And also all the people who disagree with such a cruel policy of Linden lab. Let's make this world a better and kinder place together!
